Nero d'Avola , Nerello Mascalese , Nerello Mantellato , Perricone , Frappato , Alicante and other vines, recently introduced, such as Merlot , Cabernet Sauvignon , Cabernet Franc and Syrah represent the variety of black grape varieties prevalent in Sicily. Here are some of the most important. The most famous and now also the most exported is the Nero d'Avola . With a rich and full-bodied taste, its acidity guarantees a good yield in aging. Wines produced in the western part of Sicily are characterized by a stronger and decisive character, while those made from vines grown on the eastern side are more fruity and tasty. Made from the union of Nero d'Avola (50-70%) with Frappato (30-50%), the Cerasuolo di Vittoria has a color that tends to purple, a floral and fruity smell, a soft and dry taste. The area of this wine is DOCG (controlled and guaranteed origin). The podium completes the red Etna, a wine with a high alcohol content, of a beautiful ruby red that sinks its particular characteristics in the particular land where the vines are developed: the stony and steep soils of the volcano.

The Harmonium is the successful synthesis between the power of Nero d'Avola and the Firriato style. The goal was to create a "cru cru" that offered all the expressions of the richness of such an eclectic vine. After 15 years of analysis and micro-vinifications, Firriato identified, in the 165 hectares of Borgo Guarini, the three different cru of the Ferla, of the Hare and of the Woodcock, to breed vines obtained from three different Nero d'Avola clones. The complexity of the pedoclimatic conditions allowed to highlight the different organoleptic characteristics of the three Single Vineyard. The Harmonium grapes are harvested in different harvest periods because they have different maturations and are vinified separately to join in a blend that made the history of this identity label.

Etna Rosso murgo is closely linked to the tradition and terroir of the Etna area. The oenological techniques used enhance the varietal characteristics of the vines used. His personality, elegance and sensory complexity are closely linked to the particular terroir. The very mineral taste is reminiscent of lava and volcanic sands. This wine was bottled for the first time in 1982 and continues to be the most important product for our company today
